What is Torvane?
Torvane is an AI document agent for businesses. It reads the documents a business receives — invoices, receipts, contracts, insurance papers and letters — names and files them, tracks the dates in them, answers questions about them with the source, and drafts the emails and letters that go with them for a person to check and send. Anything it is unsure of waits for a person, and everything it does is recorded. Torvane is made by CA Capital Limited, a UK company, and stores customer documents in the UK.
What kinds of documents can it read?
PDFs, photos and scans (it reads them with OCR), Word documents and text files. It recognises invoices, receipts, contracts, insurance, tax, HR documents, purchase orders, policies, letters and reports.
How do documents get into Torvane?
You upload documents in the browser — PDFs, photos and scans, Word documents and text files — or connect a business mailbox so attachments are picked up.
Google Drive and SharePoint connections are built but not yet available; we will say so on this page when they are.
Where are my documents stored?
In the UK. Backups are encrypted and kept in the EU. The full list of who processes data is in the Trust Center and the Data Processing Addendum.

Is my data used to train AI models?
No. Your documents are not used to train public AI models, and what Torvane learns from your corrections stays inside your organisation. Preferences learned from your own drafts apply to your drafts only and are not sent to our AI provider.
Does Torvane do anything without asking?
It files documents it is confident about and raises reminders. It never deletes anything on its own, never shares files outside your organisation, and holds anything it is unsure of for a person to approve.
Can Torvane write emails and letters?
Yes, as drafts: a payment reminder for an invoice you issued, a reply, a renewal confirmation, a termination or non-renewal notice, a request for missing information, or an acknowledgement of changed details. Each is built from the facts on file, with the source of each fact shown. You copy it, download it or open it in your own email app. Torvane never sends anything.
Does Torvane send emails?
No. It drafts; you send. A draft is copied, downloaded or opened in your own email app.
Does Torvane learn from what I do?
It learns filing rules from corrections, each tested on your documents before use; a rule a manager or employee asks for always waits for an admin to confirm it. If your admin turns on learning (it is off unless your admin turns it on), it also keeps a short record of how people correct filings and edit drafts, and may ask you once whether to make a change you keep making. Nothing it learns applies until a person confirms it, and every rule and preference is shown on “What Torvane has learned”.
Can I turn learning off?
Yes. Learning is off unless your admin turns it on. An admin can switch it on or off for the whole organisation under Admin → Features, and each person can switch off “Learn from my edits” for their own work in Account settings.
What does it cost?
Plans are £29, £99 and £249 a month (Starter, Business, Professional); a free trial covers 50 documents, 30 questions and 3 people, with no card.
Is there a phone app?
No — Torvane is a web app that works in a phone's browser.
